Sir Robin Knox Johnston has been making sailing history for 40 years. At the age of 68 he raced single handed around the world in the Velux 5 Oceans Race. It is this great achievement that wins him the title of 2007 Raymarine/YJA Yachtsman of the Year, making him the only person to have won the award three times.
12 year old Laurence Greenough earnt the title of Raymarine Young Sailor of the Year. Laurence lost a leg two years ago in a boating accident but was back out sailing just two months later with the Plymouth Youth Sailing club in an unmodified Topper.
