Raymarine extends its Automatic Identification System capabilities

Raymarine’s addition to its AIS (Automatic Identification System) product range, a combined receiver and transmitter, is now available.

Raymarine‘s new generation of instrument and pilot display systems, designed for sail and powerboats over 12m (40 feet), is now available.  The ST70+ offers a new way of displaying and managing data, with a large 164 mm (6.5 inch) fully waterproof high-definition colour LCD display.

With over 500 boats in 25 different classes taking part, competitors in the Volvo DunLaoghaire Regatta 2009 will be relying on their on board technical expertise to help them to the front of their fleet.

Raymarine is moving to new premises next month after nearly 25 years at its Anchorage Park site, all departments are due to be in place at the new site in Harbourgate, Portsmouth by 15 June 2009.

Raymarine has announced it is to continue its sponsorship of the Classic Channel Regatta.  The bi-annual event, which takes place this year from 4-11 July, has already attracted entries from over 80 boats.

Round the Island Race weather briefing - Plan ahead with Raymarine

Raymarine, race partner of the JPMorgan Asset Management Round the Island Race, is once again offering competitors the opportunity to receive weather and tidal information via free SMS text messages and/or email. In addition to this popular service, there will be a full and detailed weather briefing at the Island Sailing Club, Cowes at 1800 on 19 June for competitors, club race officers and safety boat crews.
