Friday 15 May 2009 – Raymarine is moving to new premises next month after nearly 25 years at its Anchorage Park site, all departments are due to be in place at the new site in Harbourgate, Portsmouth by 15 June 2009.
Peter Ward, Raymarine’s Executive Chairman, said, “We are excited to be moving! We are staying in Portsmouth and leasing new purpose-built premises on the Western edge of the city. The leases on our Anchorage Park and Quay Point premises come to an end this year so it will be great to have all our UK offices, complete with a dedicated R&D building, on the one site.”
The new headquarters for Raymarine comprise an office building of 75,000 sq ft, with production engineering, R&D, a test laboratory and the service centre located in an adjoining 35,000 sq ft facility. Raymarine’s product service centre was the first department to relocate to the new 110,000 sq ft site, in Harbourgate, Portsmouth in March of this year.
“Situating all our UK offices, production and service facilities together will enable us to be more streamlined in our working; access for our staff and customers will be vastly improved,” said Michelle Salter, business development manager for Raymarine. “Embarking on a project like this takes months of planning and company-wide hard work before the actual move takes place so, I must admit, we are looking forward to its completion.”
Raymarine’s Anchorage Park and Quay Point sites close on Friday 12 June and the company re-opens at Marine House, Harbourgate on Monday 15 June 2009.
