Success at the show for Raymarine training sessions - Raymarine stand SO10A

Tuesday 15 January 2008 ~ At this year’s London Boat Show, visitors have been able to take advantage of training sessions that have been taking place on the upper deck of the Raymarine stand.

Since the show opened on Friday, close to 100 people have been to the stand to take part in the training, which is proving a real hit. The sessions have included how to maximise the latest features along with practical demos of the quick and easy methods access the technology available.

Jon Mendez from Mendez Marine, a recognised RYA traning centre has been organising the training and said: “Visitors are delighted to find there are useful shortcuts and to discover that the technology is extremely user friendly. These sessions take the mystique out of sophisticated products and have shown people how developments in technology can help them be safe and enjoy their time on the water”.

The experienced RYA instructors are holding the training sesions on the specially dedicated upper level of the Raymarine stand to provide basic electronic navigation training – perfect for anyone wishing to find their way around the latest marine technology.

The sessions run everyday at 11.30am and 3.00pm and are offered on a first - come first - served basis, and can be pre-booked on the Raymarine stand. They usually last between 30 – 45 minutes.

Thousands of pounds are being spent on boats at the show, many of which are kitted out with Raymarine systems.  Jon Mendez adds: “The sessions are a brilliant way to find out how to use the kit in an effective way”.

Packed with power and performance features, the E120 multifunction display is just one of the Raymarine products available to use during the training sessions.

With capacity for ten people per training session, make sure you take advantage of this unique opportunity for a “hands on” experience under the guidance of qualified RYA instructors.
