06 August 2007 ~ Leading marine electronics equipment manufacturer Raymarine is looking to recruit software engineers to work at the company’s Portsmouth-based headquarters. Raymarine will be holding a Recruitment Open Day on Saturday 22 September, with applicants asked to come to the company’s stand – G088 - at the Southampton Boat Show.

“By holding the recruitment day during the show, applicants can see the end product they will be working on, and get a feel for the strength and popularity of our leisure marine products,” says Director of Engineering, Gordon Pope.

Raymarine is actively seeking senior software engineers for its design and development team, to enable the company to continue its strategy of product development and maintain its current market share growth. This year’s Recruitment Open Day follows on from two successful events held at previous Southampton Boat Shows.

The software engineers are required for design of navigational equipment utilising the latest design tools and techniques for embedded technologies. Gordon added: “By increasing our UK-based team of engineers, we can fuel our future growth producing world class, reliable and dependable marine electronics and navigation equipment. Our products are sold and used throughout the world by international sailors, intrepid explorers and thousands of day leisure boaters who use our products to enhance their enjoyment and safety while sailing, cruising and fishing.”

Raymarine was established more than 30 years ago on the South Coast as the first manufacturer of the marine leisure autopilot and has always maintained a high level of R&D investment.

Applicants should come to Raymarine’s stand at the show with their CVs in order to discuss job opportunities further or, if anyone is unable to attend the show, CVs can be sent to Mandie Barnes at Raymarine plc, Anchorage Park, Robinson Way, Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO3 35D or email recruitment@raymarine.com.
