New Horizons in Marine Electronics

Raymarine displays latest product ranges at Collins Stewart London Boat Show Stand SO18A

5 November 2007 – Raymarine will be showcasing its range of latest products on stand SO18A at the Collins Stewart London Boat Show.

Visitors will be able to see the G Series, Raymarine’s premier navigation system, in action.   Offering more than just navigation, G Series is a complete information, command and entertainment system providing a comprehensive and powerful solution for all onboard requirements.

HD Digital Open Array

The high resolution G Series display is ideal for Raymarine’s new HD Digital Radar.   By using advanced Digital Signal Processing, these 48” and 72” 4kW open array antennas deliver the performance of a much larger and more powerful radar.  Added benefits include a variable beam width for better target detection and resolution, multi-level colour display and automatic operating modes.  These include coastal, harbour, offshore and buoy settings, enabling the radar to adjust automatically to the detail and resolution required.

Offering ten times the processing power of conventional marine electronics, the G Series has at its core a powerful GPM400 processor.  This built in high-capacity hard drive is pre-loaded with Navionics Platinum cartography providing detailed navigation charts, 3D topography and aerial photographic views.  The G Series monitors are built around a rugged aluminum chassis for strength and durability, and the brilliant sunlight viewable, low profile, LCD displays are available in 12 inch, 15 inch, 17 inch and 19 inch sizes.

AIS250

Building on its launch success, and with safety at sea a key issue for most boaters, Raymarine’s AIS250 is a compact unit that provides Automatic Identification System (AIS) reception of data over VHF.  This latest onboard technology enables users to identify and track vessels in the vicinity, providing the vessel name, MMSI number, radio call sign, type of ship and cargo identity, as well as dynamic information such as course, speed, rate of turn and heading.

ST70 Virtual Analog & Graphical Displays

Also new at London is the ST70, Raymarine’s new high resolution colour display head and ST70 autopilot control head.  The ST70 offers multiple visual options for instrument and autopilot control.  Designed for simple set up and extensive user customisation, ST70 offers an array of intuitive digital, analogue, graphic and historical data display options.  ST70 also introduces Raymarine’s new generation SeaTalkng network architecture.  This enables simple interconnection of multiple ST70 instruments, transducers and NMEA 2000 compatible devices.  The ST70 system uses 11mm diameter connection making it easier to network in compact spaces, and a new system of positive locking, colour coded and keyed connectors to help ensure foolproof installation.

Designed for high performance and ease of use, Raymarine’s award winning products are available through a global network of dealers and distributors.
