Friday 01 August 2008 – Raymarine will be launching a range of new products on its stand at the Monaco Yacht Show. With its top of the range G Series offering a total onboard information and command system, Raymarine’s fully integrated range of marine electronics, communication and safety products is now the product of choice for non-SOLAS legislated vessels.
New at the show will be Raymarine’s Super HD Digital radar. Operating with the G Series or E Series Multi-Function Displays, this revolutionary technology gives improved target detection with clear full colour images on screen and while using 25% or less of the power of conventional radars.
Also new is Raymarine’s next generation of SPX autopilots. The range has been designed to suit every size of boat from small support vessels to world class racing yachts, there are specific SPX pilots for sail and power, including versions for CAN-based drives and solenoid drives. All SPX pilots come complete with integrated rate gyro for enhanced performance. This high end superior rate gyro technology, further developed by Raymarine, helps make the pilot more efficient in terms of fuel used, as well as safer. Features include Advanced Steering Technology, which intelligently monitors the yaw of the vessel and can anticipate directional changes to ensure razor sharp course keeping, and AutoLearn, where the pilot automatically understands the vessel’s steering characteristics, making calibration easier and allowing the vessel to constantly adapt to changing sea conditions.
Raymarine’s new ST70 display system is also extended with the ST70 AP Autopilot control head, on show for the first time at Monaco. This full colour display is compatible with the new SPX autopilots and existing ST1 course computers. The large clear screen can be selected to show digital data, compass rose or 3D isometric screens. It can be used as a master display or a colour repeater, and enables one touch autopilot operation.
With worldwide sales and service support, Raymarine products are also programmed to be multilingual – offering users quick access to their home language as required.
