Friday 08 January 2010 - A leading Raymarine distributor says the outlook for the 2010 marine market in Cyprus is very positive, with a high level of advance product bookings and new OEM orders.
Damianou Marine Electronics Ltd. – which was voted Raymarine’s 2009 Distributor of the Year – already has a growing number of advance orders for the new E Series multifunction display which starts shipping this month.
The Larnaca-based distributor has recently won new business from Karnic Powerboats Ltd. to provide Raymarine products as an option on both its flagship 30ft Cruiser Line 2965, and its new 28-foot, Bluewater Line 2760.
Damianou won the coveted Distributor of the Year title at Raymarine’s 2009 Distributor Awards ceremony, part of the International Distributor Conference held on this occasion in Portsmouth UK.
Damianou says the sales uplift is due to Raymarine’s top-quality products and customer support. Costas Damianou says, “The quality of the products, the support of Raymarine and its new A Series compact chartplotters were just some of the reasons why we had such a successful year.”
Its best-selling products in 2009 were the A70D chartplotter/fishfinder combo, Ray 54E VHF marine radio and the C90W widescreen multifunction display. The picture shows Damianou’s stand at the Cyprus boat show.
