Round the Island Race 2010

Raymarine is proud to be an official race partner for the 2010 J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race.

 

Starting and finishing at the Island Sailing Club at Cowes on the Isle of Wight, the Round the Island Race is the UK's largest yachting race.

 

Sailors from across Europe and the USA, as well as the UK, compete in upwards of 1,700 boats to follow the 50 nautical mile course, around the Isle of Wight. The 2009 event attracted over 16,000 sailors, with thousands of spectators on shore. This year's race takes place on 19 June 2010, and is expected to be bigger and better than ever!

Ensure Smooth Sailing with Weather Alerts from Raymarine.

 

The 2010 event will see the return of the Raymarine weather briefings - the daily weather briefings will be online from Wednesday 16 June 2010. The detailed online weather briefings are a must have advantage for all competitors, club race officers and safety boat crews.

 

Using Raymarine’s latest version of RayTech RNS navigation software, you will be able to see the weather forecast and progression of tides, currents, wind speed and direction for the Isle of Wight and surrounding waters. 

 

The live weather briefing will take place at 6pm at the Island Sailing Club with Libby Greenhalgh. Libby will tell you all you need to know about the weather for race day, so don't miss out.
