Raymarine has launched a new series of apps which enable users to control e and c-Series multifunction displays wirelessly from a smartphone or tablet. These two new apps – RayRemote and RayControl - are now available for Apple iOS, Android and Kindle Fire.

Raymarine announced the newest addition to its family of thermal night vision products for boaters, the T470SC gyro-stabilised thermal camera.

Engineered with FLIR thermal imaging technology the T470SC is equipped with a high resolution, long-range thermal imager, a color low light visible TV camera with 10:1 optical zoom, and active gyro-stabilisation.

Raymarine announced today the launch of its new AIS950 Automatic Identification System (AIS) transceiver. This powerful new AIS device brings a new level of professional-grade features and performance to Raymarine’s line of AIS products. The AIS950 is a Class A Transceiver certified for installation on both SOLAS and sub SOLAS class vessels. A commercial grade product, the AIS950 is equally at home on workboats, law-enforcement craft, and on private yachts desiring an AIS device with professional grade features.

Raymarine announced the introduction of Voyage Planner PC software, a powerful, easy-to-use, route planning and data management software solution for Raymarine multifunction displays. Voyage Planner allows Raymarine owners to effortlessly manage waypoints and routes between their vessel’s multifunction display and their personal computer. Boaters can plan at home or bring their PC onboard and import and export waypoints and routes in real time, using the built-in Wi-Fi capability of Raymarine’s new c-Series and e-Series multifunction displays. 

Raymarine has launched its new mid and large format e series multifunctional displays. The new e95 and e125 multifunction displays (MFD) follow on from the tremendous acclaim received by the compact e7. The two larger screen options have been eagerly awaited by Raymarine users, looking to enjoy the advanced power, expanded networking, and wireless connectivity of the HybridTouch™ e series, whose technical innovation and intuitive access to information and on-board system control has caught the imagination of boat owners. The two new screen sizes are also set to be available in a non-touch screen display; all the connectivity via button control heralding the new c series.

One of the first boats to be installed with Raymarine’s new e7 HybridTouch™ multifunction displays is the new Ferryside Independent Lifeboat. This custom built Ribcraft 6.4m lifeboat is a ‘declared facility’ and is responsible for answering 999 calls in the same way as the RNLI. The Ferryside lifeboats operate in the Carmarthenshire region, working in the extremely fast flowing and tidal waters of the Bristol Channel with its notorious mud flats and sinking sands. 

Sophisticated thermal imaging night vision technology is now available in a compact, hand-held camera format with the launch of Raymarine’s new TH Series. The new TH24 and TH32 Thermal Cameras are lightweight and easy-to-use, giving boaters the power to see clearly for up to a kilometre distance, even in total darkness.

Priced from £1295 ex tax, these rugged, all-weather hand held cameras use the same proven FLIR thermal imaging technology as Raymarine’s top of the range fixed mount thermal night vision systems. This new affordable, portable format makes thermal imaging accessible and usable by a wide audience.

Katie was the youngest woman to ever participate in the Ostar Trans-Atlantic single-handed race, and is now preparing to take part in the TwoStar Transatlantic race, a legendary double-handed race that has been resurrected for 2012.
