Conrad Pischel’s R.I.B-LINE selects Raymarine e7 HybridTouch
The Pischel range of RIBs are being equipped with the latest in high technology electronics, with Raymarine’s new e7 HybridTouch multifunction display and ultra compact Ray49E VHF. Pischel’s R.I.B-LINE range is manufactured in Germany, and these high quality customised and bespoke RIBs are predominantly used as tenders to yachts and superyachts, as well as being popular with professional users.
With RIBs ranging from 2.3 to 10.75 metres in size, Pischel manufactures around 60 boats each year. Around 50 per cent of these are sold to private customers, and the balance are manufactured for internationally-based boat and shipyards, who specify Pischel for the RIB or jet tenders for their vessels. Many of the RIBs manufactured by Pischel are fully or semi-customised, often using materials such as Carbon, Titan and Kevlar.
Conrad Pischel, managing director of Pischel R.I.B-LINE, says the new Raymarine e7 was the perfect choice for his range of RIBs. “We have worked with Raymarine for many years and have always respected the company for the quality and performance of its products. Now the e7 is the perfect product for our RIBs, thanks to the overall compact size housing, and the excellent large touch-screen with clarity of image in all conditions. In the past, the screen has had to be small to allow for control buttons. Now the e7 offers the perfect combination of size, performance and features.”
Pischel says the reason Raymarine is so popular is that many of the yachts which use Pischel RIBs as tenders will have Raymarine fitted on board. “Owners and crew like consistency in their choice of electronics. Having the same manufacturer on the mother vessel as well as on the RIB makes complete sense in terms of familiarity, ease of use and confidence,” says Pischel.
The e7 is fitted along with a Ray49E compact fixed-mount VHF. Both products are designed and tested under duress for the harsh conditons at sea, making them ideal for open boats such as RIBs and tenders.
Bernd Gröneveld, Country Manager of Raymarine Deutschland GmbH says; “We are very pleased about the closer cooperation with one of the most renowed German RIB manufacturers. The highly sophisticated e7 combines our latest technology perfectly with the high quality Pischel craft.”
