Raymarine Promotes Harry Heasman to UK Sales Manager

June 2012

Raymarine has announced that Harry Heasman has been promoted to the role of UK Sales Manager. Previously Regional Sales Manager for the UK South East, East coast and the whole of Ireland, Harry will now oversee the complete Raymarine UK sales team, as well as handling key OEM accounts.

Andy King, Sales Director at Raymarine says, “Harry has worked his way up at Raymarine and has proved himself to be an outstanding asset to our sales team. The combination of his background and experience in sales, as well as his love for sailing and sportsman’s attitude to winning and success, makes him the natural choice for this key role.”

Harry graduated with a degree in Accountancy and Business Law, and had a number of years’ experience working in sales, IT and educational technologies before joining Raymarine as Regional Sales Manager. He says, “I am delighted to be given this opportunity, and look forward to making a significant contribution to Raymarine’s success, growing, supporting and developing our sales team and our relationships with key customers.”

With sailing very much in his blood, Harry was just three years old when he experienced his first race sailing with his father in a Mirror on St Mary’s Loch, Scotland, which ended with a capsize. Despite that, he grew to become a keen sailor and now enjoys cruising and racing in dinghies and keelboats, with his offshore experience including Fastnet qualifiers sailing in a Ker 11.3. He now cruises regularly on a Contessa 32 owned by his family and windsurfs when he can.

Rugby is also a passion, and Harry moved up from the Northampton Saints Academy, through to semi-professional rugby both in the UK and abroad. Now with injury preventing him from playing, Harry spends any free time he has on his motorbike, push bike and playing the guitar.
